Specialised in 17th century culture，Mr. Laurent Salomé, an experienced heritage curator, has been involved in numerous art and scientific projects during more than two decades of dedication in French museums. Before he assumed the post at Versailles in 2017, he served as the scientific director of the Réunion des Musées Nationaux – Grand Palais (RMN-GP), from 2011 to 2016. During his term, he has led numerous exhibitions including important international collaborations. In 2010, as the director of the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Rouen, Mr. Salomé organised ‘Normandie Impressionniste’, a successful exhibition demonstrating his academic vision and curatorial experiences, attracted more than 240,000 visitors.
