La Biennale Paris is back at home under the dome ceiling of the Grand Palais in Paris for its 29the edition in September. This cultural highlight of fall in Paris brings together antiques professionals from all over the world. Starting this year, the Biennale has restructured as the fair evolves into an annual event, but still retains its historically prestigious title “Biennale des Antiquaires.”

Mathias Ary Jan took over on last November as president of the Syndicat national des Antiquaires. At the age of forty-five, he is the youngest-ever president; Ary Jan’s international appeal leads to set up a new structure and standards for the SNA, which he claims “will make the Biennale the most rigorously vetted Salon in the world.”
