“The Courtauld Collection: A Vision for Impressionism” exhibition at Fondation Louis Vuitton,brings together some 110 works, including 60 paintings and graphic pieces, most of which are conserved in the Courtauld Gallery, while some from different public and private collections. It features some of the greatest French paintings from late nineteenth century and to the very beginning of the twentieth century.
Fashion brands have close relationships with the art world these days. From collabrations with contemporary artists, to various exhibitions or art events, and even supporting the rebuilding of Notre Dame de Paris, Louis Vuitton is not only a brand of luxury.
As important works by the likes of Manet, Van Gogh and Gauguin turned up at this exhibition, accompanied with well curated notes and documents, you would soon be convinced that Fondation Louis Vuitton is now becoming an crucial part of the art scene in Paris.
