What makes Paris become the city of romance? Perhaps you could find the answer in those cafés in the streets, or on the lovely island Île de la Cité. But this time, we’ve found it in the new exhibition ‘Romantic Paris, 1815-1848’ at Petit Palais, which presents the periods from the fall of Napoleon in 1815 to the revolution of 1848.
Passing through the corridors inside Petit Palais, we were instantly brought back to the romantic era, where we would set off from Palais des Tuileries and arrive at Notre-Dame de Paris; we would send our greetings to Bohemian artists and invite them to enjoy a passionate can-can show.
‘Romantic Paris, 1815-1848’ presents over 600 pieces of paintings, sculptures, costumes and furniture, to reveal the real life of the romantic era. The exhibition ends in September 15th, 2019.
